(209)Katherine Stewart Forbes was built in 1818 as a three-master full-ship and rebuilt as a barque in 1836. She initially sailed between Great Britain and India and brought convicts to Australia in 1830 and 1832. She reached England with the above report on September 23, 1840.

(214)John Henry Newton jr. (1725-1807) was a writer of spiritual songs. Originally a slave trader, he spoke out against slavery from 1778 and had a significant influence on its abolition in the United Kingdom. His most famous song is "Amazing Grace", written in 1772.
(215)Philipp Friedrich Hiller (1699-1769) was a Protestant pastor and hymn writer. He became widely known for his "Treasure Chest", a collection of 732 songs, divided into two volumes, 1762 and 1767.
(216)Robert Bernard (1808-1840) was an appointed member of the first Legislative Council of South Australia, serving from 18 July 1838 to 27 March 1840. In March 1840 he was appointed Registrar-General and Acting Justice.
