The courtyard in Ellerbeck over the centuries

The farm was first mentioned in 1512

In a document from 1512 - as far as is known - for the first time a "Schürmann" farmstead is mentioned in a "head treasure register" (treasure = tax) of the Prince Bishop of Osnabrück, in which the residents of the farmstead were shown the amount of a " head tax" had to be paid.

The actual courtyard building was completely destroyed in the great fire of 1926 and was not rebuilt. The former stable building (on the right in the picture) became the new service yard with an apartment in the southern part.
